Map the glass you actually want cleaned
List the windows and glass panels you intend to clean. Record pane dimensions, frames, dividers, handles and other obstructions, then check each against the exact robot surface and size requirements. A house with a few large compatible panes presents a different job from one with many small divided windows. Do not assume a robot can cross frames or move itself between panes; include those handling steps in your estimate of effort. Start with the most frequently cleaned windows rather than every surface in the home.
Plan placement and retrieval
Read the model instructions for attachment, safety restraint, power and permitted operating conditions before purchase. Work out how you will place and retrieve it at every intended window without improvising access. A station or cord arrangement may affect the usable route, but it does not settle whether a particular window is suitable. Exclude windows that cannot be serviced according to the instructions instead of treating automation as a substitute for a workable access plan. Make sure the complete setup can be used as the manufacturer specifies.
Compare work around the cleaning pass
Consider filling or replenishing cleaning fluid, preparing cloths, moving the machine, cleaning pads and storing everything afterward. A robot can take over part of the wiping process while leaving these surrounding tasks to you. Compare that routine with the way you clean today. The value depends on the amount of compatible glass and how frequently you use it, not simply the number of cleaning modes in a listing. A large number of small panes may change the balance between automated cleaning and manual handling.
Choose a specific model, not a family name
ECOVACS lists W3 OMNI, W2S variants and MINI models separately. Their names should not be treated as interchangeable bundles of features. Match the exact retailer model to the official page and confirm included accessories and support. Manufacturer descriptions help establish intended functions; they do not prove streak-free results on your glass. Assess a normal cleaning session within the return conditions and judge both the finish and total setup effort. This documentation-based guide does not claim hands-on testing or a universal cleaning winner.
